Note on the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

With the entry into force of the new European Union Packaging Regulation, known as PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), small and medium-sized enterprises like ours are facing significant challenges. After careful review of the legal requirements and the associated compliance costs, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily cease our shipping activities to other European countries.

The PPWR obliges companies to appoint and maintain an authorized representative for each country to which they ship goods. This involves significant administrative and financial expenses. In addition, there are licensing fees and registration costs with the responsible authorities, which are economically hardly manageable for small businesses. For us as a small company, these requirements represent a financial burden that would jeopardize our business operations.

We believe that this regulation, although enacted with good intentions to protect the environment, in its practical implementation effectively makes the European single market inaccessible to smaller players. This contradicts the idea of a fair and inclusive market for businesses of all sizes.

Instead of abandoning our business operations, we will shift our focus to other markets outside the EU and continue to offer high-quality products there. We are confident that in this way we can continue to serve our customers worldwide.
